The Kind Of Message
The Conduct Of The Present Leadership

Of The DMLEK Is Sending To The Other Eritrean Opposition And Their Leaders And the Kind Of A Message The VKP’s Team Is Sending To The Other Eritrean Web-Sites And Their Masters:

The saying, “there is nothing new under the sun,” implies that, in this world, there is nothing which has not been said, heard of and done.

Lately the www.eritrean-kunama.com and its VKP’s team have been engaging themselves, mainly in bringing to light and justifying, the reasons of their “stand-off” with the present leadership of the Democratic Movement for the Liberation of the Eritrean Kunama (DMLEK), because of its atrocious murder of four of our Kunama ethnic-group members and because of the “financial corruption,” the two DMLEK’s top-leadership members, Mr. Kornelios Adolay Osman and Mr. Twolde Minase have been and are being involved in.

Ever since our revelations of those evil-deeds and scandalous acts of greediness, some fellow-Kunama have completely retired themselves into a very silent passivity and some fellow-Eritreans too have been indirectly alluding and suggesting that, such internal matters and problems should be worked out and solved internally. According to our sense of justice though, any kind of event involving acts of homicide, is not an internal and private, but just as public a matter as those public figures who commit them. Let us, in this instance, thank and congratulate those courageous fellow-Kunama and others who have been, not only expressing their anger and condemnation, but they have been also providing us with very useful information material regarding the whole scandal surrounding the two persons in question. People like Mr. Kornelios Adolay Osman and Mr. Twolde Minase, well-known figures, within the Kunama people, within the ENA, within the entire Eritrean opposition, within the PFDJ regime’s quarters, within the DMLEK itself and within those third countries supporting our just causes, cannot and should not be spared from being accused and condemned, in public, for their acts of homicide and financial corruption. They are killing their own fellow-human beings and embellishing themselves, by robbing the public fund. The Tigrigna sayings such as, “ztzerese tzehaina znegese nugusna, miinti mogogo thlef anchoa” and the likes, are all expressions of and tendencies to humble and uncritical submissiveness to whatever event happening and to whomever causing it, no matter how bad and how cruel.

One therefore wonders whether such were not an innate attitudes to accepting whatever comes and whatever happens, by always adapting oneself to a new situation, rather than reacting to and even combating it , if it is to create problems. Why then such passivity to evil-deeds? It seems that, for many of us Eritreans, “beating round the bush” has become, not only easier than aiming directly at the target, but also an expected set of behaviour not to be prevaricated, although it may denote fear and weakness. To tell the truth for the sake of truth is just not part of our character. We would rather close an eye (even two) and let falsehood drag on until it is too late to remedy it. There are often certain and deeper reasons preventing us from confronting realities and speaking our minds about them. We either put too much and blind faith on what we believe to be defending, protecting and promoting our personal or group interests or we are inherently prone to adapting ourselves to any eventuality, no matter how painful the reality of our daily life is.

Without going into lengthy diatribes, let us just succinctly look into our political history, during the 30-and-plus-year liberation period and present times to clarify this point. The Eritrean Liberation Movement (ELM), begun and supported by few individuals, had given the ones, the courage to battle on and the others the hope of improving their lives. Through intrigues and other factors, the initial enthusiasm and trust did die down, giving birth to fighting only for political survival by the ones preservation of loyalty by the others. The Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF), or Jebha-Al-Tahrir had changed only the language but not its methods until, in the 1970s, the EPLF of Mr. Isayas Afwerki, considering it to be a weak organisation, founded his own one, adopting a new name (Hizbawi-Gmbar), a new language (Tigrigna) and a new set of cultural values, immediately supported by many of his own kinds, believing in and hoping to see their interests better protected and promoted.

Many loyal supporters of the ELF, still believed in and supported it, till it, partly of own fault and partly of others, did collapse, leaving its own faithful ones in the dark and, releasing to the EPLF, the whole political and military powers, in Eritrea and in its battle-fields.

After over thirty-years of absolute “lone-going and lone-doing,” “Hizbawi-Gmbar”, become “PFDJ,” is still going and doing it all alone.

Throughout that forty-year period of our liberation history, there was a constant line of behaviour, many of us Eritreans had surely seen and followed but never tried to break it. There were always some elements of absolute dictatorship as well as of political and financial corruption, surely affecting some leaders more that the others but always leading towards an eventual collapse. The dictatorial methods increased proportional to political and financial corruption but we, the supporters of the one or of the other leaders and of their organisations, never had the guts to confront those dictatorial and corrupted leaders, at the very initial stages of their growth and condemn them, even requesting for their removal from the leadership posts. We would rather keep quiet or silently mourn but never undertake and do something against. Today, Mr. Isayas Afwerki and his PFDJ regime are comfortably going and doing it all alone, while we keep launching only our cosmetic and lone-tone condemnations, but not doing anything to change the “status quo.”

For the last two or three months, the www.eritrean-kunama.com and its VKP’s team, have been relentlessly revealing, condemning and combating the dictatorship, the acts of homicide, and the financial corruption, the two top-leaders of our own Kunama organisation have been practising, did carry out, were and are being engulfed in.

Leaving apart the PFDJ regime and its money-mongering politics, one continuously hears also of leaders of other organisations been affected by and suffering from the same malice of dictatorship, political intrigues and financial corruption. We are therefore appealing to all the supporters and sympathisers of the various Eritrean organisations, to identify those leaders, their characters, their political principles and-activities and once detected their evil deeds, condemn them uncompromisingly. Let the conduct of the present DMLEK’s leader, Mr. Kornelios Adolay Osman and of his immediate leadership-member, Mr. Twolde Minase be of a vivid example and message that, no leaders of any Eritrean organisation should be spared of criticism and condemnation, whenever they use dictatorial methods to lead our people or are involved in financial corruption in order to embellish their own selves. Without sounding unduily proud, in front of such acts of injustices, the www.eritrean-kunama.com and its VKP’s team have set a humble example of an absolute intolerance. Finally, to Mr. Kornelios Adolay Osman, who nowadays, has taken up writing only in Kunama language, using pen-names, thus trying to full only himself but not others, please, still get our clear message that, it was not the DMLEK which had killed four of our fellow-Kunama but you and only you. That it was and it is neither the DMLEK, nor are the Kunama freedom-fighters who were and are involved in financial corruption and self embellishment, but only you and your comrade, Mr. Twolde Minase. It is of no use that you now keep appealing to the Kunama people to unite in their struggle against the injustices of the Shabia regime or of other forces, for, they have been doing that throughout their life and therefore they do not need you to remind them constantly and unnecessarily. You have better and rather remind your own self that the blood of your own kinds will be following you for the rest of your entire life.
