Eritreans are devoid of their
human, civic, economic, political and social rights by the ruthless dictatorial
regime in our country we love the most. The struggle today is to change
the spirit of Eritrean politics towards deeper democratic consciousness
by clearing away the obstacle, which is dictatorship.
The dictatorial regime these days is with no political power base; isolated
from the people; lost credibility at home and abroad and no body believes
in what is said or written in its mass media. To avert his sinking power
of grip we see old tactics of control. One of the methods to convince
people that common sense is not the best sense at all is to set up pseudo-opposition
gangs to imitate democracy and pluralism wherever possible. The logic
is quite simple. The regime's theorists have been wise to decide that
it will be insufficient to rid real and determined political opposition
who swim in the ocean of its people- another controllable opposition has
to be created. That is where the pseudo-opposition group fits in. These
pseudo-revolutionaries formulations appear to be at odds with the regime,
but their actions conform to and ultimately condone the very regime they
say oppose. In essence by speaking out against the regime they expect
to win the hearts and minds of the oppressed Eritreans.
Some of the tactics these pseudo opposition movements apply include:
* Hold conferences to propagate their disguised views.
" Make relationship with some political movements and organizations.
" Write articles and publish magazines, some fictitious, others who
knows!
" Travel wherever Eritreans organize a forum.
Some time towards the end of December 2003 a ten page article with the
title " IMPORTANT POLITICAL STATEMENT" (in Tigrigna) was posted
in the MESKEREM .NET web site. It is said to have come from the "Eritrean
People's Revolutionary Front". We encourage you to read it. This
political statement discusses about a meeting of the central committee
of the EPRF from Dec. 21 to Dec. 25 2003. We leave the contents of the
article to the readers. This political statement is either forged, plagiarized
or is a fiction. The reason why we say that is because the author of this
political statement of Dec 27, 2003 is KIDANE HAGAOS. KIDANE HAGAOS is
also the author of the newsletter or magazine of the Eritrean Independent
Democratic Movement(EIDM).
In the scientific world it is established theory that one thing or object
cannot exist in two places at the same time unless the author of the above
mentioned article disproves the theory. Here, we are not saying EPRF does
not exist as an organization, and we are not also saying EPRF did not
conduct the mentioned central committee meeting, but the code of rights,
responsibilities and conduct of authors and writers says, to avoid plagiarism,
you must give credit when ever you use:
" another person's idea, opinion or theory,
" any facts, statistics, graphs, drawings-any piece of information
that is not common knowledge.
" Quotations of another person's actual spoken or written words or
paraphrase of another person's spoken or written words.
This political statement might have been written by a real Eritrean political
organization, but plagiarized and distorted to serve unintended mission.
For almost three years we have been reading political statements of this
type on the web. This legend is a canard that needs to put to rest. We
are vigilant more than ever and other exposures will follow.
Just curious, what is in common between Zemhret Yohannes, Kidane Hagaos,
Dawit Gebremeskel, Tsegai Negash and Alem Goitom? Your information is
welcome.
The Eritrean opposition revolutionary sword is of two edges. The sword
subdues the enemy( the dictatorial regime) with one edge and purges the
pseudo-opposition with the other. Our security watchdog is unveiling the
pseudo revolutionary stooges wherever they exist. Let us have faith in
democratic ideals and adhere to its principles.
GLORY TO OUR MARTYRS
DEMOCRATIC ERITREA WILL EMERGE.
